Who We Are
The Web Is Yours is a grassroots campaign run by James McGrath, trading as JFM Digital Works, Westport, Co. Mayo, Ireland.

What Data We Collect
Via the contact form on thewebisyours.org:
- Your name
- Your email address
- Your message
Via the business onboarding form:
- Business owner name and contact details (email, phone)
- Business name, address, and trading information
- Opening hours
- Photos submitted for use on your website
- Social media profile URLs
We do not collect payment information, sensitive personal data, or any data beyond what is needed to build your website.
Why We Collect It
We collect this information solely to build a free one-page website for your business as part of The Web Is Yours campaign. It is not used for marketing, profiling, or any other purpose.
Legal basis: Consent — by submitting the onboarding form and ticking the consent checkbox, you agree to your information being used for this purpose.
Who Processes Your Data
Your data passes through the following third party services:
Web3Forms — processes form submissions and delivers them to our inbox. Their privacy policy is available at web3forms.com/privacy.
Cloudflare — provides hosting and email routing for thewebisyours.org. Their privacy policy is available at cloudflare.com/privacypolicy.
Proton Mail — our email provider, where form submissions are received and stored. Their privacy policy is available at proton.me/legal/privacy.
We do not sell, share, or transfer your data to any other third parties.
How Long We Keep It
We retain your information only for as long as it takes to build your website. Once your site is live and the handoff is complete we delete your onboarding form submission. Contact form enquiries that do not result in a project are deleted within 90 days.
Your Rights
Under GDPR you have the right to:
- Access — request a copy of the data we hold about you
- Correction — ask us to correct inaccurate data
- Deletion — ask us to delete your data at any time
- Objection — object to how we use your data
- Complaint — lodge a complaint with the Data Protection Commission
